Thank you for choosing Linguascope, your passport to language-learning adventures! Before you dive in, let’s quickly go over some ground rules. Don’t worry—we’ve kept it as short, clear, and light as we possibly could.

Access: Who Gets to Join the Party?

  • If your school has a subscription, all teachers and students in your department can log in to Linguascope—whether they’re at school, home, or even on a beach (Wi-Fi permitting).
  • Access is for your school site only. Sorry, no gatecrashing allowed from feeder schools or partner institutions. Also, schools with more than one campus require a separate licence for each location.
  • Whoever’s name is on the account is the “party host” and responsible for making sure everyone plays nicely and is aware of the rules (no password-sharing shenanigans). If you suspect someone’s sneaking into the party using your login details, let us know right away.

Subscription Fees: You Can’t Put a Price on Fun

  • Subscriptions are paid yearly in advance. If paying by monthly direct debit, the minimum term is 12 months, after which you can cancel with just 30 days’ notice. Easy-peasy!
  • We don’t do sneaky auto-renewals (unless you’re paying by direct debit). But hey, don’t forget to renew at least two weeks before your subscription expires—because nothing kills the vibe faster than losing access mid-lesson. Don’t worry: We’ll send you friendly reminders beforehand.
  • We do our best to keep our prices steady because surprises are great for birthdays—not invoices. If we absolutely must raise prices, we promise not to sneak it in like fine print and we’ll give you plenty of warning.
  • Payment is due within 30 days of invoicing. Late payment might mean we hit pause on your access. But don’t worry, we’ll get things back on track once payment is sorted.
  • Heads up: Once we’ve activated your account, there are no cancellations or refunds. We don’t do trial runs, but we have an extensive free preview section you can check out before committing. We can also offer you and your team a free demo session via Zoom.

Login Details: Your Golden Ticket

  • We don’t create individual student or teacher accounts because we value simplicity (and individual data protection). Instead, you are issued with two sets of login details: One shared by all the students at your school, and one for the teachers.
  • Your username and password are like VIP passes to Linguascope. Share them only with students and teachers from your school. No sharing with random acquaintances or that one friend who’s “just curious.”
  • Posting login details online is a big no-no (yes, even in “private” forums or on that “secure” section of your school website). That’s like leaving your house keys under the doormat with a neon sign pointing to them. Just don’t do it!
  • Save your confirmation letter somewhere safe so you can check what your login details are and when your subscription expires—especially if you’re the forgetful type (wink-wink)!
  • Every year, when renewing, you’ll need to create a fresh password for security reasons. No exceptions, no excuses! Consider it a digital spring cleaning.

Copyright: Pirates Beware

  • All our resources are copyrighted. You can use them for teaching at your school but not for anything else. No turning them into TikToks or selling them as NFTs!
  • Copying, modifying, or uploading our materials elsewhere is strictly off-limits (yes, that includes your school’s network).
  • Linking directly to pages other than our homepage is a no-go. That’s like trying to sneak into someone’s house through the windows instead of using the front door. Let’s keep it classy.

Site Updates: Because Change is Good

  • We’re always working to make Linguascope better. Sometimes we’ll add shiny new features or retire old ones that have outlived their glory days. It keeps things fresh!
  • Occasionally, we might tweak these terms too. By continuing to use Linguascope, you’re agreeing to any updates. But don’t worry, we won’t spring major changes on you without fair warning.

User Contributions and External Links: Sharing is Caring

  • Some parts of our site let teachers upload content such as worksheets. While we do review submissions, we can’t guarantee they’re 100% accurate or won’t accidentally step on third-party rights toes. Use with caution!
  • Occasionally we link to other websites for extra resources or fun stuff. But just so you know, we’re not responsible for what you find there (even if it’s weird cat videos).
  • If you stumble upon something inappropriate or not quite right, or just a broken link, let us know so we will fix it without delay.

Disclaimers: Keeping It Real

  • We aim for perfection but hey, mistakes happen! If you spot an error on our site, give us a shout—we’ll fix it faster than you can say “bonjour.”
  • On rare occasions, technical hiccups might make the site unavailable. If that happens, please bear with us and rest assured we’ll be working behind the scenes like tech wizards to get things back up and running.
  • Before subscribing, double-check that your network meets our technical requirements. We suggest trying the interactive activities from the free preview section with a class.

Breaking the Rules: Don’t Be That Person

  • If someone breaks these terms (like sharing login details with their entire circle of friends), we may suspend or cancel their account without warning. And sorry folks, no refunds for rule-breakers.

Privacy: Your Secrets Are Safe with Us

  • We take privacy seriously and follow all UK and EU data protection laws (GDPR). For more riveting details about how we handle data, check out our privacy policy.
  • Our website does not collect, process, or store any individual data. So, you can breathe easy knowing there’s no need for a Data Processing Agreement or any of those mind-numbing legal documents.

Legal Stuff: The Boring but Necessary Part

  • These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. By using Linguascope, you’re agreeing to follow them—no courtroom dramas needed!

Thanks for choosing Linguascope! If you have any questions, need assistance, or just want to say hi, feel free to reach out. We’re here to help!
