  • Expired Account: Check if your subscription has expired. If so, you can renew online or contact Linguascope for renewal details.
  • New Login Details: If you've recently renewed, ensure you're using the latest username and password. Get in touch with your named Linguascope contact (typically the teacher in charge of Languages at your school) for assistance.
  • Cloudflare Verification Issue: If the Cloudflare verification tick box is not displaying or showing an error, try to refresh the page. If it does not resolve the issue, your school network may be blocking the verification process. Simply ask your network administrator to add https://challenges.cloudflare.com/ to your list of safe / trusted sites, and ensure that your network is using static rather than dynamic IPs for consistent access.

  • Firewall Settings: Linguascope Live might be blocked by your firewall settings. Ask your network admin to add the following URLs to your list of safe / trusted sites:

    https://lingualive1.linguascope.com/ (TCP port 3000)
    https://fr-par-1.linodeobjects.com/
  • Device Mute: Some devices are muted by default. To check if that’s the case on your iPad, swipe down from the top right corner of iPad screen to access Control Center. Look for the bell icon and make sure it’s enabled.
  • Blocked MP3 Files: Some schools block MP3 (sound) files. Ask your network administrator to whitelist MP3 files on Linguascope for all users, and add the following URLs to your list of safe / trusted sites:

  • Firewall Blocking: Ensure that XML, JPG, and MP3 files are not blocked by your firewall. Also ask your network administrator to add the following URLs to your list of safe / trusted sites:

    https://code.createjs.com/
    https://code.jquery.com/
  • Update Operating System: Ensure your device runs the latest OS.
  • Update App Version: Check for the latest app version in your app store.
  • Whitelist App Content: Ask your network administrator to add the following URLs to your list of safe / trusted sites:
    https://assets.linguascope.com
    https://usercontent.linguascope.com
  • App Subscription Issue: : If you purchased an individual subscription via one of our apps, but have updated or changed your device, you can restore your subscription. Open the app, select “My Subscription”, then tap “Restore Subscription”. Ensure you’re logged into the same account (Microsoft, Apple, or Google) used for purchase.
    Note that subscriptions are platform specific, so if you purchased a subscription on your iPad for example, you will not be able to access it on an Android device.
  • Google Play Access: Check with your network administrator that you have permission to install apps from Google Play on your Chromebook.

  • Bandwidth Issues: Check with your network administrator if your school's bandwidth can handle multiple connections. Slow loading might be due to local network restrictions.
  • Security Software: Check if security software is slowing down the site. Whitelisting https://www.linguascope.com can help.
  • Correct Login: Schools are issued with two sets of login details: one for students (to access the Student Portal) and one for teachers (to access the Teacher Portal). The Student Portal contains all the interactive content and worksheets, while the Teacher Portal contains multiple additional resources, answer sheets, usage stats, and training webinars.
  • Teacher Access: If you are unsure what your teacher login details are, check with your school’s contact person – typically the teacher in charge of Languages. If you are the contact person and have mislaid the confirmation letter which was emailed to you, simply contact us to request a reminder.
